Dance at Lees Brook Academy develops physical, creative, imaginative, emotional and intellectual capacities as well as social skills. Dance gives opportunities for children to explore and express moods and ideas symbolically through movement. Our curriculum explores cultural diversity within a variety of dance styles, embraces opportunities for communication, team work and problem solving.
The ethos of being the best as you can be is at the forefront of lesson expectations, providing further opportunities to showcase work at school shows, events and performances within our community. Arts Award is embedded into learning within KS3 to encourage achievement and progress early in the school journey.
