By the end of this academic year, students will be able to:

Gain the knowledge and understanding to minimise risk to their own and others health and safety in different contexts.

Students will also develop their practical skills to plan straightforward built environment development projects.

Students will have an insight into the world of work and develop fundamental skills to allow for an independent learner.

By the end of the year students will have experienced a variety of vocational subjects in which they will have taken part in numerous opportunities to evolve their skill level whilst understanding the opportunities open to them for the world of work.

By the end of this academic year, students will be able to:

Gain the knowledge and understanding to be able to plan how to minimise risk to their own and others health and safety in different contexts.

Students will also use learning from the development of practical skills and health and safety requirements of construction processes and gain the knowledge and understanding needed to plan straightforward built environment development projects.

Interpret technical information to plan the refurbishment of a building, taking account of health and safety issues. They will use appropriate skills and techniques to carry out the refurbishment.

Have an insight into the world of work and develop fundamental skills to allow for an independent learner

Students will show progression over the year and build on transferable skills in research and revision techniques.
