On Thursday 29th September, Thirty Year 10 and Year 11 students were invited to attend a workshop delivered by Oxford University at Littleover Community School. The workshop focused on raising aspirations towards higher education, explaining the differences between school and university. The workshop also looked at the ways in which Oxford University is different to other universities, explaining the tutorial and collegiate systems. They looked at Post-16 options, helping them to explore their potential subject interests and it concluded with a ‘Myth-busting’ section designed to challenge students’ preconceived ideas about the university- from finances to diversity.
