If on the National Offer Date for Secondary Schools (Friday 1st March 2019) you find that the Local Authority has not offered your child a place at Lees Brook you are entitled to appeal this decision.
Appeals should be made in writing and submitted to the school for the attention of the Clerk to Governors. The deadline for lodging such an appeal is Tuesday 23rd April 2019.
Hearings will be arranged within 40 school days from the date of the deadline and we will ensure that appellants are given at least 10 school days’ notice of their hearing. These timescales should create reasonable deadlines for appellants to submit any additional evidence, for admission authorities to submit their evidence, and for the clerk to send appeal papers to the panel and parties. By Monday 1st July all on-time appeals for Year 7 intake will have been heard.
Finally we will ensure that decision letters are sent within five school days of the hearing wherever possible.
