Yr 9 Options

During Year 9, you will make choices about which courses you would like to study during Key Stage 4.  At Lees Brook, we offer a wide variety of courses to suit all interests so it is important you spend time researching the courses we offer and discussing your choices with your parents, your teachers and your Form Tutor.

From this page you can use the links to the right to access information cards about the Core subjects you will study as well as details of all the GCSEs, BTECs, Diplomas and Young Apprenticeships available for you to study.  Be sure to read the cards carefully as they will help you make the right choice about your courses; they will also provide you with information about courses you could study at College or University and possible career paths.  The cards also include quotes from students who have studied each of the courses.Core SubjectsDuring Key Stage 4, there are some subjects that all* students follow including English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science, Modern Foreign Languages, Religious Education, Information and Communications Technology, Personal and Community Education and Physical Education. GCSE

Vocational

Vocational courses suit students who enjoy mainly practical activities with a strong emphasis on the world of work.  Through the study of vocational courses you will develop a wide range of work related skills through subjects like BTECs, NVQs, Diplomas and Young Apprenticeships.
